A solemn press conference was held at the Tourist Information Center on the occasion of the participation of the Zaporizhzhia crew in the Monte-Carlo Classique Rally.
With the support of the Department of Culture and Tourism of the City Council, an experienced team of racers will soon represent Zaporizhzhia at the world competitions of retro cars.
This is an extraordinary event in motorsport, which is watched by the whole world. This year Ukraine will take part in the competition for the first time.
Who will represent our country at the rally, what are the features of preparation for the competition, what is the uniqueness of the Zaporizhzhia crew - all this and much more was told at the press conference.

Anatoly Kurtev - Secretary of the City Council
Anatoliy Vasyuk - Deputy Mayor for the Executive Bodies of the Council
Kateryna Simonova - Director of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Zaporizhzhia City Council
Roman Shchypkov is the commander of the Ukrainian team, the pilot of the Zaporizhzhya crew
Alexander Pavlov is the media director of the project
Zaporizhzhia got a unique opportunity to become a city of symbolic start for Ukrainian rally participants. The organizers and guests expressed their support for the Ukrainian crews and wished them success in the competition. An open-air autograph photo shoot was also held as part of the holiday ceremony.
Our country will be represented at international races by teams from Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Ternopil on ZAZ-965, ZAZ-965-A, ZAZ-966 and ZAZ-968 cars. Among the Ukrainian participants will be a female crew.
The competitions will be held in France and Monaco from January 31 to February 2, 2022.
Zaporizhzhia crew will not only present the unique technical capabilities of domestic cars, but also present our city at such a large-scale international event.
Participants and spectators of Rallye Monte-Carlo Classique will learn more about the significant role of our city in the history of legendary models of "Zaporozhets", about modern hospitable Zaporizhzhia and its tourist routes, the largest museum of retro technology in Ukraine "Phaeton".
France will also host a "Ukrainian Evening" to which representatives of embassies, teams from other countries, fans and guests of honor will be invited.
