Propylaeum buildings

Two five-storey buildings with two sections each are part of the architectural ensemble of the residential complex of Quarter No. 3 of the Soviet City (Sixth Settlement). They were built in the 1930s.

The buildings are located on both sides of the road and form a gateway to a round courtyard inspired by ancient architecture. The inner space of the quarter has a lot of greenery. The propylaea buildings are a good example of combining the principles of constructivism and classicism. Their name reflects their functional purpose and location.

The facades of the buildings are decorated with elements reminiscent of the tomb of Eurysaces, a character from ancient Roman mythology.
