The main building of the Mennonite colony of Rosenthal was the church. When the first church building could no longer accommodate all the parishioners, it was dismantled and moved to the Neudorf colony.
In 1835, a new two-story church was built on the site of the old one. The simple decoration of the facades was solved by a uniform rhythm of windows. The building had a high pitched roof covered with tiles. The interior design of the church resembled the Mennonite church in Prussia in the city of Heubuden.
In 1935, the church was used as a cinema. During the war years, the building was restored to its church service, but not for long. In 1999, descendants of the first settlers installed a memorial plaque on the facade of the former church building.
