Memorial Complex "Pereprava"

In 1968, a monument was erected in memory of the soldiers who died during the crossing of the Dnieper River. Later, it was transformed into the architectural and memorial complex "Pereprava" . The authors of the memorial complex were sculptors O. Balakalchuk, B. Rappoport, M. Khudas, and architects Yu. Yegorov and Yu. Lushchynskyi.

The composition is built on the contrast between the geometrically precise vertical pillar and the horizontal plane that imitates a raft on which a sculpture of a soldier is installed.

The figure of the soldier in a flowing cloak stands out with its dynamism and plastic generalization of forms. A granite block with text is installed in front of the monument.

Next to the "Pereprava" Memorial Complex, artillery pieces are installed, and a park is created. Every year, hundreds of tourists visit this legendary place where the Dnipro River was crossed.
