Old Oleksandrivsk - is a historic area that has been preserved in modern Zaporizhzhia. It consists of notable architectural landmarks, parks, squares, museums, and theaters.
It originates from the county town of Oleksandrivsk - the name of Zaporizhzhia in the 19th century. Later, large industrial enterprises appeared here, which made the city one of the centers of agricultural engineering in Ukraine.
The construction of a railway in the 1870s contributed to the development of the city. At the beginning of the 20th century, there were many educational institutions, cinemas, theaters, libraries, gardens, and squares in the city. Most of these buildings have been preserved to this day and are architectural and historical landmarks, making Old Oleksandrivsk one of the most significant places in Zaporizhzhia.
