Firefighting Museum

0 13 0

The Firefighting Museum in Kyiv, opened on January 26, 2004, is dedicated to the history of firefighting equipment. The museum is located on the territory of Fire Station 25, which was the largest fire station in Europe during the 1970s. It features renovated examples of firefighting equipment used since the 19th century. The oldest exhibit is the carts used by firefighters to transport equipment and water. One of the most interesting exhibits is a steam boiler that drove a pump to extinguish large fires. Visitors can also see a ladder truck that can climb to a height of 17 meters and other fascinating items, including a variety of fire extinguishers and helmets. In addition, the museum has a fire department training base where visitors can observe how rescuers are trained.
