Bohdan and Varvara Khanenko National Museum of Arts

The Museum of World Art, which presents the most significant art collections of Europe, Asia and the Ancient World in Ukraine. The museum was founded in 1919 in accordance with the will of the collector Bohdan Khanenko (1917) and his wife Varvara, a gift in the name of the All-Ukrainian Academy of Sciences (1918). The basis of the museums collection is the art collection of Bohdan and Varvara Khanenko - prominent Ukrainian collectors and philanthropists of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The museum preserves over 25,000 artifacts. Visitors can explore paintings by renowned masters, as well as unique collections of European sculpture and applied art. The museum is located in two historic late 19th-century buildings, offering a journey into the rich world of art.
