The Ivan Honchar Museum National Centre of Folk Culture is a cultural and educational institution founded in 1993 on the basis of the private collection of the artist, sculptor and public figure Ivan Honchar. The museum, located in Kyiv, collects and preserves unique examples of Ukrainian folk art. The museum's collection includes more than 15,000 exhibits, including embroidery, fabrics, ceramics, wooden crafts, musical instruments and folk paintings. The museum features notable items such as pysanky (Ukrainian Easter eggs), traditional musical instruments, and a collection of icons. It also houses Ivan Honchar's personal library, which contains over 2,700 books. A primary focus of the museum's work is to support the Kobzarskyi Tsekh, an organization committed to reviving ancient folk musical traditions.
