The Kyoto park is a park in Kyiv, decorated in Japanese style. Located in the Desnianskyi district of Kyiv. It stretches along Kyoto Street between Chernihivska and Lisova metro stations. In 2018, the park was declared a park monument of horticultural art. The park was founded in 1972 as a sign of friendly relations, immediately after the signing of an agreement on cooperation and development of cities - the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, and the cultural capital of Japan – Kyoto. As a gift from Kyoto, the park received a "square multi-tiered stupa" – a 5-meter granite pagoda traditionally used to house relics and harmonize the environment. All elements and symbols reflect Japanese garden culture. The centerpiece of the park is a rock garden, surrounded by old pines and Japanese maple trees. On September 3, 2011, an alley of cherry blossoms was planted jointly with a Japanese delegation, and in 2012, the park earned a Guinness World Record for the longest cherry blossom alley in the world.
