Polytechnic Park

Polytechnic Park is a city park located in the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv, in front of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. The area is 13.5 hectares. The complex of buildings of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute was built during 1898-1902. In 1903, a park, in which valuable species of trees were planted, was laid in front of them. New plantings are appearing next to the old ones, which are the peers of the university, and the lawns and especially rare trees are constantly being looked after. It is an interesting place for both children and adults. So there are always a lot of people here – students, university members, young mothers with children, and pensioners.
