The Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Mother of God in Solomianka is an important historical and architectural object in Kyiv, built in the late 19th century. Construction began in 1895, and two years later, in 1897, it was consecrated. The Church of the Intercession became not only the spiritual center of Solomianka, but also an important cultural institution, because there was a school and a charitable organization at the temple. After Ukraine gained its independence, the church was completely restored, and in the 2000s, new elements were added, including the domes and bell tower, returning the church to its original view.
