Church of St. Basil the Great

0 15 0

The Church of St. Basil the Great is the main edifice of the Basilian Fathers' monastery. Located on a slope between Voznesensky Uzviz and Petrivsky Yar, the church was designed in a modern style by architect Larysa Skoryk. The church houses relics of Saint Basil the Great, Archbishop of Caesarea in Cappadocia, who is the monastery's patron, as well as relics of the Blessed Hieromartyr Josaphat Kotsylovsky, Bishop of Peremyshl. A Sunday school operates at the church, and it hosts meetings for the "Mercy" youth community, the "Mothers in Prayer" movement, and gatherings of the "Knights of Columbus" men's community. Divine services are regularly broadcast on the church's official social media channels.
