The main cathedral and main branch of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church are located in Kyiv. The Patriarchal Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church is the most important unifying factor for Ukrainians from all over the world. From the beginning of its foundation until today, it has been erected at the expense of believers as a spiritual symbol of the unity of the Ukrainian people. The architecture of the cathedral is unique, combining modern architectural trends and traditions of Ukrainian sacred architecture. The project, developed by architect Mykola Levchuk, has received national recognition. A special feature of the church is its bright white interior decoration, which symbolizes the light of the Resurrection of Christ, as well as a pillarless dome, which is an architectural innovation. The Patriarchal Cathedral has become an important spiritual center and an important part of the cultural heritage of Ukraine.
