The Ascension Church is an Orthodox church built in 1884 on the territory of Baikove Cemetery. This cross-domed church was designed by the prominent architect Volodymyr Nikolayev. Its exterior resembles a smaller version of the famous St. Volodymyr's Cathedral. The church's interior is of particular value, having wonderfully preserved its original decor. In 1990, the church was consecrated, and regular divine services resumed.
