Maidan Nezalezhnosti

The central square of Kyiv, a place where Ukrainians gather to express their will and fight for their rights and freedoms. Events like the Revolution on Granite, the Orange Revolution, and the Revolution of Dignity took place here, changing the course of the country's history.
The Independence Monument, a symbol of the nation's revival, was erected on Maidan in honor of the 10th anniversary of Ukraine's independence. Its triumphal column, made of white marble, is topped by a figure of a woman, the Berehynia, holding a branch of viburnum – a symbol of family and homeland.
