The Kyiv City Teacher's House is a municipal complex extracurricular institution formerly known as the Pedagogical Museum. The Teacher's House was founded in 1910. The construction was supervised by architect Pavlo Alyoshin. The building is a monument of the architectural style of historicism: it combines features of neoclassicism, neo-baroque, and neo-renaissance with a frieze decorated with bas-reliefs and a glass dome. This building housed the Ukrainian Central Rada in 1917-1921. The Kyiv Teacher's House, damaged by shelling in 2022 and restored in 2024 with the support of the World Monuments Fund, is included in the list of the 25 most valuable historical and architectural sites in the world that require urgent protection and restoration. The Kyiv City Teacher's House is a cultural and educational center that promotes the creative growth of educators who strive to improve the world. The house staff continues to hold various events in the educational centers of the capital.
