The "Ukrainian House" history began on April 21, 1982. A group of architects led by V.I. Hopkalo worked on building construction. The house is created in a rare and unusual style of Soviet brutalism. There are bas-reliefs on the building, and stained glass windows are made inside. "Ukrainian House" is known as one of the centers of business, socio-political, educational, and cultural life in Ukraine. The national center provides services for organizing summits, symposiums, congresses, conventions, conferences, presentations, scientific, technical, and trade-industrial specialized and international exhibitions, business forums, literary and artistic events, concerts, film screenings, corporate parties, balls, art exhibitions, vernissages. In 2014, during the Revolution of Dignity, the "Ukrainian House" became a strategic center. On the night of January 26, there was a storm and the withdrawal of military personnel and special forces from the building, as well as the establishment of a press center, heating points, and reception and distribution of food for protesters. The building has 5 exhibition halls, 8 conference halls, and a media center. Exhibitions, press conferences, and concerts are regularly held in the building.
